This foundation course opens the world of specialty coffee from seed to sip, taught hands-on at the espresso bar by trainers who work the craft daily.

- Coffee's journey from farm to cup — origins, arabica and robusta, harvesting and processing methods
- How roasting, grinding and freshness shape flavour
- Foundational tasting: identifying sweetness, acidity, body and bitterness in the cup
- An overview of brew methods — espresso, filter and immersion — and what each does to the same bean
- The landscape of Singapore's coffee industry and where the career paths lead
